Environmental concerns.

Struggling with ourselves

Over the last few decades, people have been dealing with  miles too big environmental concern. As result of that, Earth's health  is currently in great danger as well as our own health.

The exploitation of our planet and degradation of our environment have gone up at an alarming rate in the recent years.
The industrial revolution led us to a different lifestyle and an increase in population. The more population there was, the more needs we had and the more we exploited our planet. we have been doing stuff such as deforestation, use non-renewable energy, massive road construction, agricultural and livestock intensification, traffic of species and so on. But we have gone beyond the destruction of our planet, creating poverty, social differences and wars struggling for wealth. There has been a climate change and a loss of biodiversity .

In well-preserved hábitats, viruses are distributed among species and it do not affect humans because of a balanced relationship. The more the nature is altered or destroyed, the more ecosystems are weakened and the easier the spread of pathogens. Nowadays, we are living the Covid 19.

Governments had a go at boosting  politics and lifestyle changes in order to people were  able to adapt to new situation of our environment  and improve that more and more. But those politics needed such an enormous investments in research and innovation.

All of us should have been  aware of what we were doing with our environment and so we should have been able to involved in environmental issues. we should have been willing to think outside the box and have developed creative solutions but we started too late and we did not do enought. It was bound to be such an enormous catastrophe.

Humans should move to somewhere else

The Earth has become such a really stormy planet. We are in a planetary emergency without return.

The root cause truly has been the government´s measures, they have been soft and not enough. I strongly believe this catastrophe is government accountability.
The Earth is currently facing with the amount of natural disasters such as unpredictable earthquakes, devastating floods, ruinous decade-long drought...
all of them have been happening as consequent of the way we are dealing the environment.

Basically, there are 3 important issues doing impossible living on Earth.

Firstly, water and food are contaminated: water has become no-drinking water due to the toxic dumping at rivers. Nowadays, there are so few drinking water resources, and they can´t assure the water supply for the whole population.

Secondly, lack of clear air: Our forests are natural sinks of co2 and produce fresh oxygen; however, most of our wooded areas have been lost due to deforestation. The more consumerist people are, the more trees they cut and the more trees they cut, less clean air they have.

Finally Global warming: Factories have been emitted a huge  amount of banned gasses enlarging the hole in the ozone layer. It leads to rising temperature so poles are melting and level of sea is rising.

With respect to the above, people must move to another planet, where we can completely thrive and have blossoming life full of heath, within this year. This could be the last chance we haveThe ball is in your court, if I were you I would manage to move to another planet the sooner the better.

The point of no return.

Are innovation and technological development at the
service of people and environment ?
In the last decades the Earth has dealt with different issues such as terrorism, corruption, racism and others that threatened to undermine world peace and human being welfare. But first and foremost, global warming is by far the greatest global challenge facing the world throughout the years.
The technological revolution truly led to a tremendous increase in the consumption of natural resources as well as the waste of giant industries began to contaminate the environment. The more we produce, the more we pollute. Undoubtedly the rising levels of greenhouse gases are the root cause of the global warming. Its effects in long-term are really severe: changes in the global climate, rising sea levels and, plant and animal species becoming extinct among others.
Steadily several governments and international organizations have failed attempts to tackle environmental problems due to the fact that if it is difficult to deal with these problems within your own country let alone to make a worldwide commitment. If human beings had given priority to environmental issues and had made an effort to preserve and restore the natural balance it would have made a difference.
Up to this point, the impact on nature has reached such a bleak level that we are doomed to move somewhere else: harsh climate that ranges from droughts to flash floods, ecosystems getting destroyed, unhealthy air, poisoned water, widespread of diseases, famine, people rendering homeless and so on.
To conclude, I really do hope technology will make it easy for us to find a new place to start from scratch.
